The Frame Building is a large urban development project. With limited public space for the redevelopment, the area will now be part of the busy shopping area of the Amsterdamse Poort.
Working in this restrictive area, with complex stakeholder relationships, this was a great challenge for the SYNRG project management team. The Frame Building is a development of Doniger Urban Development and designed by MVSA. The redevelopment of building M+N is partly built on top of the existing parking garage and roof garden of the monumental former ING HQ 'Het Zandkasteel'.
The project consists of 213 residences with a total area of 10,582 m². We have demolished and rebuilt a two-layer underground parking garage, retail units and some apartments of different owners.
On behalf of our client Doniger Urban Development we have managed the project from the final design stage in January 2020, until delivery in mid 2023. We are pleased to take total responsibility for relations with contractor Plegt-Vis, various stakeholders (Ymere, Wonam/Zandkasteel, CBRE), and the municipality and utility companies.
We regularily chair construction meetings between the client and the main contractor; reviewing budgets and financial statements and principles. Naturally, we also assess and advise on desired optimisations; manage project risks and control measures and act as the point of contact throughout the project.
We thrive on the complexity of construction. We enjoy making complexity clear.
Frame Building renders are the creation of MVSA.
