IWC Schaffhausen celebrates 150th anniversary with Schiphol pop-up store Luxury Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen, in partnership with its Netherlands retail partner Gassan, has opened a pop-up store at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The pop-up, located in Lounge 2 of the non-Schengen area, is the first in the world with a fully dedicated concept celebrating the brand’s 150th anniversary.

The imposing pop-up lets visitors travel back in time to the early days of the company.

IWC Schaffhausen Benelux & Scandinavia Brand Director Edwin de Vries said: “Our pop-up store at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is dedicated to the inspirational story of our founder, whose entrepreneurial spirit and tireless quest for engineering excellence have shaped IWC. “It lets visitors travel back in time to the early days of our company and experience some of our most iconic timepieces in an open and welcoming atmosphere.” About IWC Schaffhausen In 1868, American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones travelled to Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and founded the International Watch Company. His aim was to combine modern American manufacturing methods with skilled Swiss craftsmanship to create the best pocket watches of his time. IWC is committed to sustainable production, supports institutions around the globe in their work with children and younpeople, and maintains partnerships with organisations dedicated to environmental protection.

IWC is owned by luxury goods company Richemont.
